Love Like A Sunset
Quite the winter it's been so far, to say the least. A daily average of a perfect 72 degrees. Oh, California... how you thrill me. Being able to tan in January? I must say, all of us on this side of the coast are truly spoiled. Along with the brilliant weather, the sunsets seen off the cliffs of Isla Vista lately have been spectacular. Breathtaking even. I've been making it a point to try and watch the array of colors that paint a gradient of pinks, purples, oranges, and reds against a cool blue backdrop every evening. Sometimes I forget the earth is spinning and watching the sunset is a pleasant reminder of our planet's constant rotation, a pretty amazing fact in itself. These photos don't even begin to capture the grandeur of the sight I am so lucky to experience on a daily basis. Along with the crisp air, the gentle roar of the ocean waves, and the silhouette's of playful dogs or paddlers in the distance, I couldn't ask for more from my humble backyard.

Disneyland!
The family and I decided to spend New Years Day in the happiest place on earth, Disneyland! Good times are always had there. As expected, it was a bit crowded so I wasn't able to go on all my favorite rides, but I did hit up most of the classics. The entire park is so beautiful during the holidays. Decked out in about 10x the typical amount of festive decorations and lights, especially at night, the whole park glows! It was fantastic to be able to frolic amongst all the things that very much reminded me of my childhood. Oh, to be a kid again... Disneyland will never lose its whim or charm. It is truly a place of enchantment :)
